Near neighbors are better than far relatives

Had dinner with friends and neighbors tonight. We cooked several dishes, made the dumplings, and drink the wine. We played boardgame "Blockus" after the dinner. I had played with the doggie "Vivi" for a while. We played Badminton this afternoon in the gym of SFU. Everyone is glad to be able to have the dinner together in Canada. We reiterated the Chinese saying, "near neighbors are better than far relatives"
