About Huawei

Reports about one of the best telecommunication company of China. I believe that it will become an international giant like samsung/sony. I am proud of it.

Google Suggested Search

A new google search improvement.
http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en

It can sugget the search words and give your a rough number of search results. It is interesting that you can find out the hot words that people like to search, like "Chinese horoscope".

As reported, it works with Mozilla/Firefox/IE, not Konqueror.

Enjoy.

The firefox extensions that you must have:

Adblock (block the unwanted image/flash, based on the wildcard filter)
Mouse Gesture (all-in-one, or other simple one)
Bookmark Sync (very useful, if you surf the web on different machine)
Linkification (make every URL clickable)

The firefox themes worth of checking:
littlefox (if you have small screen size, I mean less than 1024x768)
noia (very beautiful)

Check them out in firefox website. Don't be lazy, search it by yourself. Or right click the selected text and "Search the web ...", in firefox.
I've converted my visor into a remote controller to control my old tv set. It's working just fine.

The software I used is: omniremote. The new version 2, is cool. I can map my "hard button" into channel changing, volume changing ...

JPilot looks good, as the palm desktop software.

Just need to remember to press "hotsync" button on the cradle first and click "sync" button in the JPilot.

My stock lose 30% since March.

Two bloody lessons that I have learned.

1) Do not buy stocks with some disappointing statement, such as "audition problem" or something like that. Investors are really sensitive to those kind of messages. You may exepct a big loss later when the message become true. For example, NT and PROX dropped a lot when they announced financial statement with problems. When the messages become true, in earning statement, the stock drop deeper.

2) Do not buy stocks before the earning announcement. It is like a gambling. For exmaple, BRCD and IONA lose a lot after a lousy earning call. There are some signs for this. They both start to rise 3~4 days before the earnings call, however, 1~2 days before the earnings, they start to drop around 3~5%. After the lousy earnings, they drop more than 15%. The stock with continuous rising trend before earning announcement is promising. For example, CLHB kept rising before the earnings and soar more than 20% after the rosy earnings call.

Good luck!

Haven't update the log for a while.

I covered the RHAT at 18.00 and 17.70. It gives me another 1000 profit. I love it.

I bought some AMD this week and really regret not bought at the bottom of around 14. It is 15.5 now.

I bought TMTA again at 3.3 around. My order of buying 1000 TMTA @ 3.15 had not been executed, although it drops to 3.16 at bottom. I shouldn't use the order at some 5, 0 ending price. For example, if I want to buy at 10, I should enter the order at 10.1. If I want to sell at 20, I should enter the order at 19.99. Keep in mind! another 500 profit slip away.

I am full loaded now, and waiting for another round of profit-taking.

NT is really great! I may get more in proper price below 10.

IONA @ 6.5 has some strong support. It's another entry point.

TMTA is suitable for short-term operation.

NT and IONA hold for long-term.

AMD is unclear now.

My teaching in Surrey is really successful, at least I thought. I don't have to prepare the presentation slides, which gives me a lot of advantages. To my own thought, my oral English is improving a bit. I can organize my sentences and words during my speech without rehearsal beforehand.

Sold most of my stocks in last week. Nasdaq seems too high for me.

I keep NT and IONA. I believe both two will continue gain in this year and I will buy more in proper price, when Nasdaq go down.

RNWK is stepping up everyday, seems I'll repeat my sad story of CLHB again.

I short some RHAT at 20.4, when it drops to 19.7 I didn't cover it. My target is 18, although right now is 20.5.

About TMTA, I sold out all my reserve. But, I will buy them back when the price drop to 3.5 around.
